(PV164) UL 3741 Product Compliance and Design
This one-hour course covers the relevant NEC considerations, information on the UL standard scope and testing requirements, and design solutions for UL 3741-listed systems. Instructor Ryan Mayfield introduces the rapid shutdown requirements (and new exceptions) before explaining the UL listing process, testing for PV hazards, and design and installation best practices.
The course is intended for electrical contractors, solar installers, building officials, engineers, and designers who are already familiar with grid-interactive PV systems but want to understand this important new UL listing.

- 2020 and 2023 NEC 690.12
- PV hazard control and shock hazard reduction
- UL 3741 listing process
- How to design UL 3741-listed systems
