Kris Schmid of Legacy Solar, LLC Joins NABCEP’s JTA Committee: A Milestone in Solar Education
Kris Schmid, owner of Legacy Solar, LLC and MREA instructor since 2008, has been selected as a participant in the North American Board of Certified Electrical Practitioner’s (NABCEP’s) Job Task Analysis (JTA) Committee for the PV Associate Program. We congratulate Kris on this well-deserved and exciting opportunity!
The JTA Committee is responsible for creating the contents and framework of what entry-level solar professionals should be able to demonstrate after completion of their training. The JTA is the guideline for what all NABCEP Registered Training Providers should be teaching, and what all students should be learning in the Associate Program so they can pass the exam and earn their credential.
With his WI Master Electrician license and NABCEP PV Installation Professional (PVIP) Certification, Kris was selected from dozens of applicants because of his vast experience and technical prowess. He’s been passing that knowledge on to MREA students for over 15 years, and we couldn’t be prouder to have him on our team.
“I am truly honored to be offered this opportunity and am excited to put my solar knowledge and experience to work with an organization whose mission and purpose is in line with my own beliefs regarding ensuring a strong solar industry future.” -Kris Schmid
