Katie first joined the MREA as a staff member in 2009 as the Receptionist/Office Manager. After a 10+ year hiatus, she has returned to her roots and is currently in the role of Registration Manager. Katie manages the data and registration processes for various areas, including training, memberships, donations, and events.
Katie graduated from UW-Stevens Point with Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology, Social Science, and Natural Science. Her love of fermentation has led to more than eight years of experience working in a local brewery’s lab. She also has a passion for helping animals in need. She interned at a wildlife rehabilitation hospital and has adopted many homeless pets over the years. Katie currently enjoys dabbling in home fermentation projects and spending time with her husband and two dogs, Pickle and Herbie, and two cats, Chai and Nettle (Nettie).
