John “Jack” O’Donohue began his shift from commercial real estate to a green career by focusing on efficiency first. Jack studied with The U.S. Green Building Council and became a LEED® AP in March of 2009. He then attended courses offered by the MREA in PV, solar hot water, and wind. Jack became an MREA Certified Solar Site Assessor in PV & Solar Hot Water. He installed PV systems on Habitat for Humanity homes in Milwaukee and on his home near Chicago. He has been an instructor for the MREA in PV and a conference speaker. Jack has also been a NABCEP Certified Solar PV Installer & Certified PV Technical Sales professional. And, he is a Global Reporting Initiative Certified Reporter and Climate Reality Leadership Corps Speaker. He has worked in solar sales to homeowners for an installer; in solar sales to installers for a distributor, and in solar sales to distributors for a manufacturer.
