We’d like to give a special thanks to long time MREA Board Member, MREA supporter, and renewable energy advocate, Ben Nusz for serving on our Board Of Directors since 2011. Ben has held the positions of Secretary, Treasurer, and recently served his full term as Vice President.  Ben’s knowledge of the renewable energy industry, and passion for sustainability has helped MREA thrive as an organization. We are truly thankful for your leadership and dedication to the MREA.

Ben has worked as an installer, site assessor, designer, and consultant for solar thermal, photovoltaic and geothermal systems. He is a NABCEP Certified Solar Heating Installer, holds a certificate in PV and SWH site assessment and is the co-author of the book Solar Water Heating: A Comprehensive Guide to Solar Water and Space Heating Systems. Ben is currently the Renewable Energy Specialist Instructor at Mid-State Technical College in Wisconsin Rapids and lives in solar heated and powered home he built himself.

It’s been a memorable six years with Ben, and we look forward to many more of Ben’s packed workshop tents at The Energy Fair, and spectacular Green Mini Demo Derby “racing uniforms”.
