Use System Advisor Model (SAM) to predict benefits of behind-the-meter energy storage projects.
Course Description
(PV 431) Modeling PV-Battery Systems in SAM
This four-hour course works through a complete analysis using the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) System Advisor Model (SAM) to model photovoltaic-battery systems for residential and commercial behind-the-meter projects.
Topics covered include: dispatch options for energy arbitrage in response to time-of-use (TOU) energy rates, dispatch options for demand charge management, and the effect of different dispatch options on battery life.
A completion certificate is issued upon completion.
