String Sizing Calculations
This course teaches how temperature changes impact PV system design and how to size inverter strings safely and efficiently.
Course Description
(PV412) String Sizing Calculations
This one-hour course addresses the importance of accounting for temperature variations outside of Standard Test Condition (STC) ratings using correction factors in the National Electrical Code (NEC) and manufacturer temperature coefficients when designing PV systems that use string inverters, as proper string sizing calculations result in safe and efficient system operation that stays within the parameters of an inverter’s listed voltage ranges.
