Course Description
(PV 150) PV Safety & Hazard Control
Safety is essential to every solar installation. This four-hour online course introduces the safety principles, regulations, and best practices used in the solar photovoltaic (PV) industry. Participants will learn how to identify job site hazards, assess risks, select appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and apply safe work practices when installing and maintaining PV systems.
Topics include electrical and battery safety, hand and power tool safety, ladders and scaffolding, fall protection, trenching and construction hazards, and emergency response planning. Aligned with Domain I of the NABCEP PV Associate Job Task Analysis, this course provides the foundational knowledge needed to work safely and confidently on PV job sites.
