Join the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) for a free, monthly webinar series exploring the renewable energy and sustainability topics you want to learn more about. These interactive sessions take place on the last Tuesday of every month at 5:30 p.m. and are hosted virtually for easy access from anywhere.

The MREA was founded from our historic Energy Fair event — an annual gathering that brought together thousands of attendees to explore sustainability, clean energy, and actionable solutions for a greener future. While the Fair has since been retired, its spirit of education, connection, and action lives on. This monthly webinar series continues that legacy by creating space for learning, discussion, and community around today’s most relevant clean energy and sustainability topics.

Membership is suggested to continue supporting the MREA’s work, but not required to attend the live webinars. Make sure you’re subscribed to our monthly newsletter to keep up with announcements for the month’s webinar and stay in touch about organization’s that should be involved or topics you would like to see covered. 

Save the date for the MREA’s Annual Membership Meeting on Saturday, June 13 at our headquarters in Custer, WI.

Hear directly from MREA staff and board members as they share highlights from the past year, outline key initiatives for 2026, and look ahead to the opportunities and challenges before us. The meeting will conclude with time for questions and discussion, giving you a chance to engage, connect, and be part of the conversation shaping the year ahead.

The MREA will not host the Energy Fair this year. This decision comes after careful consideration of rising event costs and declining participation, which together have made it increasingly difficult to sustain the Fair as a responsible and viable investment.

As an organization deeply committed to sustainability, this decision was not made lightly. However, to ensure the longevity and impact of our other programs, we must take this necessary step.

The Energy Fair was a one-of-a-kind event that we hold dear in our hearts. We appreciate your understanding as the MREA evolves with the world around us and meets the needs of the clean energy industry and its consumers. In the meantime, the spirit of the Fair will live on through our ongoing programs and initiatives, advancing clean energy education, energy efficiency, and sustainability advocacy for years to come.
