NABCEP Credential Career Pathways

The MREA is a registered provider of the NABCEP PV Associate Exam, and many of our courses have been approved for continuing education by NABCEP. The chart below illustrates the many career pathways that follow earning your NABCEP Associate Credential.

Training Pathways and Packages

There is no set pathway students have to take when attending our training programs. You can select courses based on; your interest in the topic, pursuit of a credential, continuing education requirement, starting a new career, etc. We’ve put together a few training “packages” or recommended pathways that may inspire your pursuit of knowledge:

Internships

MREA Solar Ready Internships:
Growing the Midwest Solar Workforce

The Solar Ready internship program is designed to help students and recent graduates gain work experience in the solar industry and to provide solar contractors the opportunity to provide hands-on education to future employees. The MREA will maintain records of all potential interns and provide prospective employers the opportunity to post internship opportunities. The MREA will also provide stipends to participating interns upon completion of 160 hours of work experience within the program.

242,343 SOLAR WORKERS IN THE U.S.

As of 2018, the National Solar Jobs Census found:

The United States has 242,343 solar workers, defined as those who spend 50% or more of their time on solar-related work. Overall, the solar workforce has grown 159 percent since the first Census was released in 2010, adding nearly 150,000 jobs.
