Alex Jarvis has been working in the renewable energy (RE) field since 2006. He has been an instructor for the Midwest Renewable Energy Association (MREA) since 2009. Currently Alex is instructing MREA’s PV Sales and Finance courses and many contract training offerings throughout the year. He is a current MREA board member and Solar PV installer with Solar Systems of Indiana.
Alex believes strongly in RE education and advocacy. He mentored Purdue University students’ Solar Decathlon entry in Washington, DC, and is the technical editor of Wiley’s “PV Design and Installation for Dummies”. Alex has logged over 1100 teaching hours for MREA workshops across the Midwest and at Solar Power International Conference. He also co-founded a solar advocacy group/network in Bloomington, IN.
Alex Jarvis, an esteemed instructor at MREA, has recently accomplished a remarkable milestone in his career by achieving the prestigious IREC Master Trainer Certification for PV Installation Professional.
