DESCRIPTION:WHEN: Tuesday\, March 31 starting at 5:30 p.m. \nWHERE: Online via Zoom \nThe MREA’s March webinar will feature Susan Schuller\, Executive Director of Recycling Connections\, for an engaging deep dive into backyard composting — from the fundamentals to practical tips you can put to use right away. \nLearn how to turn everyday food scraps into nutrient-rich “black gold” compost while reducing waste and lowering your climate impact. Whether you’re brand new to composting or looking to refine your system\, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to build healthier soil and make the most of what would otherwise go to waste. \nSusan Schuller is the Executive Director for Recycling Connections providing professional development services and consultations in zero waste\, recycling\, organics diversion\, and waste reduction. She is an avid backyard composter with over 20 years of experience. She holds a MS in Natural Resources\, BS in Biology/Chemistry\, and two decades of teaching environmental education and sustainability topics.
