DESCRIPTION:Join the MREA for Earth Day Equity: Air Quality and Solar Power in Beloit as part of the Couillard Solar Foundation’s Solar Series. \nApril 22 | 5–7 p.m. | Beloit Public Library (Community Room North) \nA 2024 international report identified Beloit\, WI as the city with the worst air quality in the US. Census data shows that a third of Beloit’s roughly 36\,500 residents are people of color\, while nearly one-fifth fall below the poverty line. The event will discuss the factors contributing to the city’s air pollution\, a citizen science initiative aimed at monitoring it\, and how solar could help alleviate this. \nLight refreshments will be available\, but we request attendees pre-register. \nLEARN MORE
